Enhanced Security Options
- OAuth 2.0 Support
- Available for both inbound and outbound connections
Inbound: Certificate-based authentication
Outbound: Certificate-based authentication
- Client Credentials Grant - Resource Owner Credentials Grant
- Basic Authentication
- Supported for most connections
Note: Inbound connections on WiseCloud require certificate-based authentication - No Authentication (Outbound Only)
- Supported under specific conditions
- Recommended only with additional security measures like IP whitelisting
Enhanced multi-system support
Managing integrations is now easier and more secure:
- Unique Credentials per External System
- Each connected external system can now use its own credentials, improving security and simplifying management.
- Multiple Outbound Endpoints - Send messages to multiple external systems, each with its own endpoint—no longer limited to a single outbound connection.
Traceability
Gain better visibility and control over your EDI messaging:
External Message ID
Include an external message number when sending EDI messages for easier tracking. This ID is returned in both the response body and acknowledgment.
Linked Request & Response Messages
Request and response messages are now linked directly in the UI.
Linked EDI Interchange & EDI Messages
Quickly navigate between related EDI records for faster investigation and troubleshooting.
Async REST
- SOAP support has been fully removed for both inbound and outbound messaging.
- Inbound Messages - Now use REST (HTTP + XML)
Messages must be enclosed only by a Universal Interchange message - Outbound Messages - REST (HTTP + XML) format only
External systems receive the Universal Interchange message—no SOAP envelope
Important Notes
To ensure a smooth transition, the legacy eAdaptor will continue to be supported throughout 2026 and will be deprecated in CargoWise releases after 1 January 2027.
Customers currently using eAdaptor for integrations are required to transition to eAdaptor Next to maintain compatibility and meet security compliance.
We strongly encourage all affected customers to complete this migration as soon as possible.
