Last December, the OBP management and staff came together virtually to celebrate the festive season of the year 2021. With the world’s ongoing battle against COVID-19, now with a new variant surge: Omicron, OBP took an extra mile to secure its employees’ health and safety by holding its Christmas event online.
Christmas at Offshore Business Processing was celebrated K-Pop (Korean Pop Culture) style, organized by a committee to bring the entire company together for a few hours of laughter and fun. The virtual gathering was arranged to allow the employees to lay back and harness the holiday spirit as another year ends.

Opening the event, a brief moment of silence was shared to dedicate a thanksgiving prayer, followed by a ceremony of national anthems in honor of Australia and the Philippines. An opening remark by the CEO formally welcomed the participants to the program.
Making the online event no less than exciting, OBP’s Christmas Party committee prepared fun activities that showcased the employees’ talents in entertainment, such as OBP Singing Idol, OBP TikTok Dance Idol, and OBP KPop Superstar. The entries of the participating contestants were reviewed by different panels of judges according to each competition’s criteria. Winners were announced during the program and received cash prizes as their rewards. Adding to the excitement, a live raffle was drawn that picked out lucky winners among the employees to receive various prizes.

As part of the company’s culture, the monthly MVPs of each team were recognized for their exemplary performances. Saving the best for last, the Employee of the Quarter and Employee of the Year were also announced and commended for their dedication and hard work in helping the company achieve excellence.
The virtual event ended on a good note through a closing remark from the Managing Director, discussing briefly the things the company should look forward to in 2022.
The year 2021 has been undeniably challenging for the world, but nothing will stop the OBP family from rejoicing the year that has been overcome. The virtual Christmas Party was sweeter the second time around as the employees engaged radiantly with smiles on their faces, wishing one another a safe and warm Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
