This year’s OBP Sportsfest, themed “Where Legends Are Rising,” brought employees together in a fierce yet friendly battle of skill, teamwork, and passion. Across the Araneta and Gamma sites, six teams—named after mythological figures Hephaestus, Poseidon, Artemis, Demeter, Ares, and Zeus—competed in a series of high-energy games, leaving unforgettable moments on and off the court.
Opening Ceremony Sparks the Fire
The FilOil EcoOil Arena set the stage as OBP Net Navigators volleyball player Aie Gannaban lit the ceremonial torch, igniting the competitive spirit of the season. From basketball to volleyball, badminton to chess, every game was marked by intense rivalries, unwavering teamwork, and the unmistakable OBP spirit.
MVP Moments: Trust, Teamwork, and Triumph
Joseph Ramos (Basketball MVP & Mythical Five) led Team Ares Red Warriors with speed and precision, but credited his success to his teammates. “I wouldn’t be MVP if my teammates didn’t trust me to take the shots,” he said. Despite minimal practice time, the Red Warriors relied on instinct and chemistry to secure their wins.
Tonirose Gojol (Volleyball MVP) carried Team Hephaestus Black Forgers to victory after a tough loss last year. “I really wanted us to win. Last year, we were up against the same team and we lost. I just wanted to bounce back,” she shared. Their adaptive strategy and resilience paid off in a thrilling championship match.
Best Muse: A Return to the Spotlight
Kylah Mae Sebastian (Best Muse, Green Demeters) reignited her passion for pageantry while representing her team with pride. “ I love the Green Team, and it meant so much to me to represent them with pride,” she said, praising her team’s fighting spirit.
Artemis Grey Hunters Claim Overall Championship
Dominating multiple events—including Cheerdance, Badminton, and Chess—the Artemis Grey Hunters proved consistency and heart win championships. Team Captain Sheena Ballesteros emphasized mindset over medals: “We focused on giving our best, and that’s what made us champions.”
The True Victory: The OBP Spirit
As the final buzzer sounded, one thing was clear—win or lose, the real triumph was the unity, passion, and trust that defined OBP Sportsfest 2025. From roaring crowds to clutch performances, this year’s games proved legends aren’t born—they rise together.
